The TF2 Mix-up website was launched this week. Featuring Robin walker, Notch, Freddie Wong, Nathan Purkeypile (Bethesda), Yogscast, Brian Brushwood, Veronica Belmont, CaptainSparklez and so many others. There are more of our gaming heroes on the match roster than Gabe Newell could recruit in a week of headhunting, probably. Despite this thereโs still three slots left, to be filled by you. We tell you how on this weekโs show.
TF2โs Beta gets an update. In the long tradition of beta updates this basically means a bunch of fresh new nurfs for you to cope with. The Enforcer is slower to fire and trading now impossible.
Back in the real game, Sniper gets a leather backpack, the Cozy Camper, complete with dangling piss jar and koala. Soliderโs buff/rage meters are fixed and Pyroโs Phlogistinator gets a couple of nerfs. Whom ever guessed โQR codeโ as the language for โUpdating localization filesโ, take a drink.
Steam Powered User Forums ( or SPUF for short) finally have their own subsection just for the competitive players. This was largely the result of Ashkan, our player of the week, buiding a solid presentation to put before the Valve lot. Well done mate, though Extine pushing the point home canโt have harmed either.
As for the quickies, we make a good shot at them being the longies:
- Ruskeydoo reports on a worrying trend of item makersโ accounts being hacked to get at their self-made hats
- Our Steam friend Lucky Luke shows us how your friends list now has a search bar
- Tempest talks to mnemosynaut about his recent contributions to the game
- Collection packs are added to Steam Workshop
- rubixRandomHero creates some cute knitted TF2 friends
