Mann Co. celebrates their 1st year of sales with a bunch of hats and a some server fixes with inevitably ended up breaking the servers and making the game crash out. Still, as far as Agro is concerned it’s all worth while as he now gets to play with the Reserve Shooter. There’s much more to the update than items. Fortunately we have Ruskydoo, creator of the Hibernating Bear Pack and our own Lo-Fi Longwave on hand to take us through the new Steam Workshop for item generation.

800px-CP_Gullywash_3Deep breath, we’re nearly there, told you it was a big update. There’s a bunch of new customisable objects for you to decorate; a pin, a photo tag, a clan badge and a ruddy great sign on a stick (at great personal expense we may add). Gullywash the comp map that’s been in pretty much every 6v6 match since the dawn of TF2 time has finally been recognised and included in the game. Also the High-5 taunt we talked about last week is finally here.

We let Ruskeydoo loose on Bay Raitt’s blog post, discover sneak peek pictures of the TF2 toys and coo over the Football Manager 2012 and Dungeon Defenders crossover items.

If glimpses of Gullywash are setting your comp blood to boil, there’s good news in the form of the ETF2L Highlander who have opened their doors to sign-ups this week. Epsilon esports does work for charity in their TF2 marathon and the TF2 Mixup Website is revealed.

Last but far from least, we have content from our listeners. Russell Champoux draws our attention to GameMaster’s mashup of fan-made taunts an best of all, Neph becomes player of the week for his realisation of the Lo-Fi Longwave, earning him an in-game one too.

It’s all fanfares and clarion calls here. Agro and TF2 both celebrated their birthdays this week and Tempest is riding around in Happy Town too. Less than 24 hours before recording this Tempest was playing in the Mixup Match 3 with a really cool group of people: Robin Walker, Jon Lippincott and Bay Raitt from Valve, Notch from Mojang, Daniel Brynolf from Oxeye, Simon and Lewis from Yogscast, Total Biscuit, Freddie Wong, Eric Ruth, LaroLaro, Torden, eXtine as well as some other incredibly lucky pubbers (Miss Meow, Bree, Ensi and Ravidge).

If you’re not up on what a mixup match is, think of it as a bunch of rag-tag players from all over, playing together for their own entertainment and hopefully yours too. To get a better idea have a look at the Official TF2 MixUp Match website, made by Tempest.

In the time between watching MUM2 and MUM3 you may want to get started on the Dark Horse machinima contest for your chance to with a unique real hat (and a signed copy of The Sacrifice).

You’ll find all the videos we’ve talked about in the show today on our YouTube channel. Make sure you check out Agro playing Parkour Fortress, Mister Mild’s Heavy Revelation, the alternative Meet the Medic and ZePyromancers’ The Mac Update Adaption!

Lastly, a shout out to all the guys over in South Africa! VanillaTV has covered their monthly One-Night Cup.

Gee, it sure does seem like no update happened this week, If only that were the case. Valve did a super secret update this week, infact its so secret that valve rolled it back hopeing nobody had seen it. However, that was not the case. Besides the Pyro conscience and a massive pile of hats in the works, this also seems to be the start of customisable textures on items

The beta has also been going slightly crazy this week, rewriting the pyros tools and giving them all a purpose. The flamethrower is now for damage, the back burner is for sneaky tactis and the degresser is all about the burn.

Meanwhile, The Killer Exclusive has now been made avalible in the US. As long as your willing to purchase the new PC Gamer digital app on steam. but don’t worry, if your not in the UK or the US…..hopefully it will be coming to the rest of the world in the next week.

This week is also a great week if your into creating things for the community. If you are the kind of person who wants to make your own items for TF2, but have no idea where to start, we have a fantastic Modeling guide to give you a helping hand. But if your the kind of person who likes to watch pollished videos, then Sandviches is the video for you.

And as if that wasn’t enough we’ve also got 2 different cups to tell you about. The Ultiduo cup 3 in europe and the My Gaming Edge n a cup in the US. So as you can see, besides your emails, we have a lot of to be talking about this week,

When Eric allowed us to interview him he must have thought we’d finally leave him in peace but with his game studio due to release Team Fortress Arcade (TFA) to his the virtual shelves this week we forced him to come back on the show to be our guest host. What a show it turned out to be!

Valve have released a massive update to TF2 beta, not only bringing the client up to date with the full game but also releasing a series of modifications to current weapons.

The man behind the voice of the Sniper, John Patrick Lowrie has a written a book. We’ve spoken about it before on the show but now it’s on amazon and all the classes felt they needed to review it too.  With comments like this one from the Heavy, “Book is heavy so I throw at spy.” Even if you don’t get to read the book, reading about reading the book is brilliant fun too.

We like the guys over at TF2KillCams.com and we love the competition they ran. Agro will certainly never fully be able to cast from his mind the image the winner sent in.

EOReality totally came through for us with servers for the Lo-Fi Offclass Cup. The event happened last weekend and the final between Crab People and YoYo Tech can be watched courtesy of VanillaTV. Agro joined Comedian and event organiser, Trent (PubComp) to cast the matches.

While you’re listening in to the stream, Eilavamp is looking for a few more voice actors to help make the KritzKast audio play. Head over to our forum for more details.

Some updates crash through your rigging and steal your booty, others simply drop by with a chest of doubloons to share among your motley crew. This week we are joined by Nahanni from the lost treasure Apocalypse Gaming overseeing little of the latter; recent hats became craftable, the sticky jumper gets a buff and bi-aural people see benefit in the update too.

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hD-KZsmBl4?rel=0]

For all the romance of the open seas there’s no denying the love Armago24X feels for both TF2 and Skyrim. After that video we can see why.

A week without a new hat would be like a parrot without a perch, so we’re ever grateful to the PCGamer lot for allowing us all to play press with the Killer Exclusive.

Chronos has been cut adrift this week. Agro caught him playing Pyro in the Community vs Pros Summer Sizzler. If you want to relive his former glories you can watch the first and lastvolley of VODs on eXtv’s TwitchTV channel.

And now, I think ye deserve a little explanation of all the nautical reference this week. In the words of our POTW, Cap’n Stevoisiak:Ahoy thar Kritzkast! A bunch o’ scallywags, meself included, have released a Pirate language pack fer Steam. Valve ‘as said “nay” t’ an official release fer some reason we be unable t’ comprehend. Instead o’ lettin’ all our efforts go t’ waste, we’ve cast out a pack o’ our work fer all t’ see an’ use!

Lastly a little shout out to Trashed Gamers, mentioned by b00bies as a good place to hunt.

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to steal Agro’s dog. This will be made far more difficult by the fact that Agro does not have a dog. However, steam trading beta has now gone live so you could always trade him a dog, wait until they’ve formed an emotional bond, then steal it. Or why not try and get a dog involved in the Lo-Fi Offclass cup for a chance to win a Lo-Fi? Maybe we are taking this dog thing too far. Listen to the episode for one last heads-up about the summer sizzler and a great tutorial on how to make your demo files smooth as silk. But most importantly, you’ll find out why we are fascinated with Agro’s fictional dog.

We like to think that we stay on track each week, but it can be a lot harder than it seems sometimes. This week, is one of those weeks. As well as talking about the important things in the world of TF2, Like the new hat from Tropica, We also ramble on and on about how digital distribution vastly different to brick and mortar stores. Strangely enough we also talk a lot about Bacon and tank tops too. Good job we had some awesome Valve fan films to keep us vaguely on topic. But then your emails throw us right back off the rails again. Seriously this has been one hell of a weird cast. Don’t believe me? Listen for yourself.

What is Insomnia 43? Thank you for asking fellow tf2 gamer. Insomnia 43 is the largest Lan party in the UK. It is home to many tournaments and contests and as such attracts some of the best gamers from around Europe. Agro and Tempest took a trip to this magical event and got ambushed by everybody in the European TF2 scene. So there is a lot more than just talking about Team Fortress’s birthday, the real life weapons, even the New version of advanced weaponiser. Mainly we will be talk in person to some of the big names in European TF2…….and a few crazy people who just kinda wondered by.

This week we have all discovered a unique ability. we can see into the future. What we can see may shock and surprise some of you. Apparently the engie will loose his arm in a freak accident and have it replaced. The sniper will shoot more targets than ever and the spy…well the spy buys himself a bitching gun. But wait, this isn’t the future. this is now. But what’s this i see? The future actually contains Robin walker and Chronos fighting side by side, It contains competitive players using their worst class, but more importantly I see a Nerfnow comic of a KritzKast Fan. Don’t believe me, listen to this episode and all will be revealed.

Has the world gone mad? We have a barrel load of thing to talk about, but for some bizarre reason, most of it does not have a direct link to TF2. But all of it effects TF2. How can this be? Look at the Steam Beta Trading for example. It effects TF2 in a big way but it’s a steam update. Look at CS:GO aswell; effects TF2 in all kinds of ways, yet has nothing to do with TF2. What about the Voice talent site for Mods? The same thing applies there. This is going to be an odd episode to say the least. At least we have an update to mull over as well as a great bunch of guys trying to bridge the gap between Pub and Pro play. Otherwise, we just have your emails to fall back on. Nothing strange there at all.
