KritzKast the TF2 podcast · Episode 087 – Live from Belgium

Due to the aligning of the stars, we are all in one place for a change. This gives us a great chance to talk about more of the polycount weapons and indeed some of the changes recently made for the update. But that’s not all. We realise we didn’t mention the comic last week, So this week, we are going one step further. What do we mean by that? Well, have a listen and you’ll find out.

Remember the best way to protect your accounts is to be a little more cautious. No matter how official an e-mail is when sent. Ensure you only ever login to steam sites you visit on your own. If you can’t find the page linked it’s a good sign that the link being sent isn’t official. It’s a pain, but remember your account is valuable, not just because of the games you own on it. But because it is your identity online and can be used in a malicious manner.

Also do remember another nice way to check links is to Right Click it and copy it to clip board (you won’t actually use it). You then paste the link on to a blank area such as a new note pad document. This allows you to see if the URL matches the one you see. A lot of the e-mails actually hide their fake url inside one that looks official. If you are absolutely unsure of the validity of the e-mail then don’t use it.

Thanks for the assist Jin_D3vil. I just want to add that only the last two parts of the address (sepparated by “.”) after the “http://” count as the URL the link is pointing to. eg. http://secure.blizzard.net.goat.pornlover.com/account_verification.html may look like it’s sending you to a secure blizzard site, but actually it’s sending you to a pr0n site, probably with goatish tendancies.

You could just do a very simple trick of hover your mouse of any link and it appears on the bottom left of whatever browser you’re using, just saying as it’s far less hassle than any other way. (when i say whatever browser i’m assuming you’re using IE, Firefox or Chrome as those three all do it)

    The best kind.

I love how everyone’s still moaning about Scouts. Especially considering Boobies has actually dominated me a number of times when I’ve been playing as Scout. YEAH FUCKING SCOUTS!

I just tried this after it happened to me and with the milk a buffed scout can easily outtank the heavy if he’s using a primary other that the FaN.

Has anyone ever actually seen an Unusual hat? As in they’ve actually witnessed it with their own eyes?

I’ve seen it. They have “sparkle” effects, the GRU has angry faces in red emitting from the heavy. One thing gave a demoman a green stink cloud.
